Corresponding Source & Share-Alike Data

Last updated September 2026

Some data stores shipped with or downloaded by the Emrelia E3X are derived from sources licensed under share-alike terms (such as the ODbL) or the GPLv2. Under those licenses, the derived stores and the tooling that produced them are available to anyone.

Written offer

For the GPLv2-licensed derived stores, this is our written offer under GPLv2 §3(b): we will give any third party a complete machine-readable copy of the corresponding source for each such store, for a charge of no more than our cost of physically performing the distribution (download links are provided free of charge). This offer is valid for at least three years from the date the store was distributed to you.

The derived vector stores built from OpenStreetMap data are Derivative Databases of the OSM database under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, © OpenStreetMap contributors. As required by ODbL §4.6, a machine-readable copy of each Derivative Database — or a file describing the alterations made to the upstream database — is available on request under the same license, by the process below.

Requesting

Write to [email protected] with the subject "corresponding source" and name the data store you're after. We'll provide a free download link for the derived store, its upstream source identification, and the applicable license text. Download links will also be published on this page as the stores are finalized for release.

What this covers

  • Derived vector stores built from OpenStreetMap data (ODbL)
  • Derived stores built from open flightmaps data (share-alike)
  • Derived airport-layout stores built from X-Plane Scenery Gateway data (GPLv2)
