Frequently asked questions

Which simulators does the E3X support?

X-Plane 11 and 12 today. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 support is experimental: the in-sim companion module is built but not yet validated against the simulator, so expect rough edges and please report what you find. The E3X runs beside your sim as its own window — on the same monitor, a second monitor, or a separate panel PC — and on X-Plane 12.1+ it can also render directly inside the 3D cockpit of the bundled E3X-equipped Cessna 172 (an optional install component).

What operating systems does it run on?

Windows and Linux. macOS is currently untested and unsupported.

Does it work with hardware bezels?

Yes — the RealSimGear G3X Touch bezel is supported natively: its knobs and keys map to the same behaviors as the on-screen controls, and a fit mode matches its LCD exactly. Touch and mouse input work with or without hardware.

Is this a Garmin product?

No. The Emrelia E3X is an independent product of Emrelia LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Garmin Ltd. G3X Touch™ is a trademark of Garmin Ltd. The E3X is for flight simulation only — never for real-world navigation.

How complete is coverage outside the United States?

Terrain, synthetic vision, weather (METAR/TAF and winds aloft), and airports work worldwide. Charts, airspace, obstacles, approach plates, and procedures are US data today (FAA sources). European airspace and VFR charts are planned — the open data sources are identified but not yet integrated — so outside the US you fly with terrain, airports, and weather over the topo basemap. See the coverage table for the honest breakdown.

Can I use my Navigraph subscription?

Planned: signing in with your own Navigraph account will unlock worldwide airways and terminal procedures in-app. Emrelia never redistributes Navigraph data — your subscription authenticates directly.

What is the refund policy?

Purchases are handled by our merchant of record and carry a 14-day refund window — if the E3X doesn’t work out with your setup, write to [email protected] and we’ll make it right. Details in the refund policy.

How many computers can I activate?

A license activates on up to 2 machines at once. Moving to a new computer is easy — deactivate the old machine from your account page and activate the new one. Frequent cycling is limited to keep licenses honest, but the occasional new PC is exactly what deactivation is for.

Does it work offline?

Yes for flying: charts and navigation data are stored locally in the data pack, and terrain detail is cached as you fly — areas you’ve already flown over are available offline. Live weather requires an internet connection, and license activation touches the internet once per machine.
