License & Activation

Your license

A license key is emailed to you at purchase and always available from your account page. One license activates the E3X on up to 2 machines at once (a desk PC and a sim PC, say). Activation binds the key to the machine’s hardware identity; the E3X keeps a signed activation record and checks it offline at every start, refreshing it with the license server about once a week when online.

Activating

Paste your license key into the installer when it asks — that’s the whole flow. Installed without a key (demo mode), or activating a second machine later? Run from the install folder:

g3x-core license activate <KEY>

Activation contacts our license server once; after that the machine stays activated offline. g3x-core license status shows this machine’s activation any time.

Moving to a new computer

Deactivate the old machine — g3x-core license deactivate on that machine, or from your account page if it’s dead or inaccessible — then activate the new one. Occasional moves are normal and expected; rapid repeated cycling is rate-limited — if you hit the limit legitimately, support will sort you out.
